What Is It Costing You Not To Listen? With Christine Miles

As interest rates rise many home builders find that a number of their backlog customers no longer qualify for their homes. It can be a difficult conversation to have with your clients because they’re already frustrated by longer build times and higher prices.

Christine Miles, a leading business consultant known as the Listening Guru and author of the bestselling book, What Is It Costing You Not To Listen shares her advice on having difficult conversations. Asking better questions and listening can help with that. Christine says that most of us listen to what we think we hear rather than what is being said.  Instead, we need to listen to understand.

Christine Miles is the CEO and founder of EQuipt, and for three decades she has been serving organizations by helping them apply human skills to drive results and build cultures of empathy.

At 18, Christine knew she wanted to work in the field of psychology to make a difference. After receiving her M.S. Ed. in Psychological Services from the University of Pennsylvania, Miles discovered her passion for applying the principles of psychology to business. Through Christines’ upbringing and training, she gained an acute understanding that most people are not taught the critical human skills. Miles decided to fill this gap by creating The Listening Path™ system to teach people how to listen differently, which became the foundation of  her book, What Is It Costing You Not to Listen?.

It is Christines mission to create a listening movement that transforms the way our society communicates so that we have deeper connections with those around us and a greater impact on communities at large.
